What ages do you accept?
We care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old in our infant, toddler, preschool and after-school programs. Our summer program is for ages 6 to 10.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We are closed on the holidays shown on our holiday calendar.
Do you offer part-time or full-time enrollment?
Yes. We offer full-time, part-time and drop-in options so working parents can choose a schedule that fits.
How much is tuition?
Tuition depends on your child’s age and schedule. Request tuition information and we will reply within one business day, or ask during your tour.
What is included in tuition?
Healthy, kid-friendly meals, STEAM learning materials, outdoor play and structured learning, music, art and movement classes, and secure parent app access for real-time updates.
Do I pay a registration fee every year?
No. Our registration fee is a one-time fee with no yearly renewal.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes. We offer sibling discounts for families with more than one child enrolled. Ask us for details.
What safety measures do you have in place?
Your child’s safety is our top priority. We have 24/7 security surveillance, strict teacher-to-child ratios, sanitized learning spaces, and background-checked, CPR-certified staff.
Is Sunshine Daycare licensed?
Yes. Sunshine Daycare is a licensed child care center in Texas. You can look up any licensed center’s inspection history on the Texas HHS Child Care Search.
How do you keep parents updated during the day?
Our parent communication app shares daily photo and video updates, real-time activity and meal reports, and direct messaging with teachers. We also hold regular parent-teacher meetings.
Do you help with potty training?
Absolutely. Our teachers are trained to support potty training and work closely with parents so the transition is smooth and stress-free.
How do you handle nap time?
We follow a structured nap schedule in a calm, relaxing room. Each child has a personal nap mat, and we use soothing music and dim lighting to help children rest.
What is your approach to discipline?
We use positive reinforcement and redirection. Our teachers are trained in social-emotional learning strategies that build kindness and responsibility.
Do you have outdoor play areas?
Yes. Our safe, age-appropriate playgrounds let children explore nature and sensory activities, build gross motor skills and enjoy creative outdoor play.
Do you provide transportation from school?
Yes. Our after-school program offers safe, reliable transportation from local schools to our center. Call us to check which schools we serve.
What happens if I need to withdraw my child?
We ask for two weeks’ written notice, and we will help make the transition smooth.
Do you still have a Coppell location?
Our Coppell location has closed. Families from Coppell, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Carrollton and The Colony are welcome at our Lewisville center at 223 Oakwood Lane.
